Becoming Mentally Strong

“People can do more than they ever believe they can do. Physically, mentally, academically. You have to be pushed. It hurts. But it’s worth it, and it’s a great thing.” Sugar Ray Leonard

When we start out in life we first use survival skills. Then we try new things as we get older but many times those who love us the most probably hinder our growth and the opportunity for us to become mentally strong.

How do we progress? Change your thinking. Change your language, mostly the one you speak to yourself. Change your negative ideas.

Unhealthy beliefs about ourselves. ‘Why does this happen to me?’ ‘Why am I so unlucky?’  These thoughts/statements can keep you stuck. They stop you from creating solutions.

Unhealthy beliefs about others. We give away our power by the thoughts we think and say.

Unhealthy beliefs about the world. ‘I deserve success because I work hard.’ These beliefs/statements set you up to be unhappy and unsuccessful.

You must give up these unhealthy beliefs. Instead of looking at patterns for unhappy events/thoughts, try looking at the good patterns.  For example, every time something bad happens I have been able to recover and move on.

Changing your beliefs can happen one step at a time so don’t let the thoughts of overwhelm scare you.

If you are interested in changing even one bad habit, fill out the form to the right for a complimentary Personal Breakthrough consultation.  You will be happy you did!
